MR. SKY KING

Hey Dennis, here is one of the trucks I have been looking for . It was built and owned by Tony Gallo of Long Island, New York.Tony bought the truck brand new in 1974. It ran the roads of Long Island as a jacked up street truck before being turned into a monster truck. "Mr Sky King " used a shortened 2 1/2tom military truck frame and 2 1/2ton axles. It had a White inline 6cyl. diesel motor that put out 140 h.p. but mega torque.The truck featured 4 shocks per wheel (which i think was standard back in the day) custom built leaf springs and blocks.The truck was painted Maroon Imron with gold pinstripping by Harold Seaman. Other exterior features included a chrome tripple tube roll bar and lightbar. The sun visor was hand made by Tony also. As of my last phone call with Tony, he reports the truck to still be in the Long Island area. I would love to see what it looks like now.  Enjoy   Richard Scott.
