Dear Mr. Taft I'm a Dutch fan that often finds himself browsing your site for over a year now. Keep up the good work. I really enjoy your site. Last Sunday I went to the Arnhem Monster Jam here in The Netherlands . I wanted to see Tom Meents in action. The Show was awsome. I was checking out his machine and I noticed that it was different then from how I've seen it on television and dvd's. No Coil-over-Shocks and the body seems to be leaning a little more forward then usual. I think it's a Live Nation truck on witch they bolted a Max D fiberglass body. I thought it would be interesting to see for an American. So i'll include my picture. You are free to do with it as you please. Sincerely, David Kramer Your right David, notice the position of the engine in the rear. Dennis, The guy that sent the picture of the Max D truck from Europe is correct, it is a Live Nation owned chassis that runs the Max D body over seas. There are various reasons for doing this. One reason is that Meents owns the chassis that Max D usually runs on, and patrick enterprises chassis are more easy to replace. This means that if there's a mix up with customs (such as with Bigfoot 9), Meents isn't out a truck and Live Nation can more quickly replace the lost truck. Another reason is that if all of the trucks are running common parts, there's less that needs to be transported with them which cuts down on expenses. Hope that helps clear things up. Jason Lloyd |
