Hey Dennis, I built the Gravedigger truck and it's awesome, check out the pics. I decided to challenge myself to see how long it would take to build this truck. It actually took about 2.5 weeks, with 45 minutes to spare before the cut-off time for the model contest. I built this Gravedigger model using 2 kits. I used only the gravedigger body, windshield and head lights from the gravedigger kit and from the Dodge Mummy kit I used the chassis, engine, radiator, shocks, four link bars, axles, tires, rims, driveshaft w/ housings, fuel tank, batteries, floor panel, gas/brake paddle, seat and steering wheel. I fabricated the complete upper roll cage from front to rear to fit the gravedigger body to perfection. The hydraulics, tie-rods, steering knuckles and king pins were made from scratch using plastic tubings. The fuel tank was modified and placed in the rear and the batteries were moved from the rear to the center in between the craddle, below the transfer case. The shocks were modified in an angle to fit the front and rear frame. The decals of the gravedigger logos and the sponsor logos on the body and delfector shield were printed on the injet printer, using the 5.5 X 5.8 white tester decal sheets. The decals of the gravedigger flames and the grayline down the center were sketched, painted, scanned and printed on the printer. The truck was completed yesterday (08/29/04) at 3pm. I'm entering the gravedigger truck in a model contest at "The Puyallup Fair" in Tacoma Washington. The fair starts on Sept 10th and ends on the Sept 26th. This model will be judged on Tuesday Aug 31st by four judges. I won't know the results until the fair starts. Theres gonna be more gravedigger models at the fair, but not like this one. I hope you like the pictures, I'll send more later with the results from the fair. Please send me a reply after recieving this email and tell me what you think. Have a bless day. Enjoy!
