TRANSMISSION: Allison 80AT540 RUNNING GEAR: 2 1/2 ton transfer case, 5 ton Rockwell military axles with planetaries TIRES: 66X43X25 inch Goodyear Terras SUSPENSION: 7 leaf rear, 11 leaf front with 16 inches of arch. 20 Trailmaster Invader N-7 shocks FEATURES: Reflexion bumpers, 3 inch double chrome roll bar with 5 chrome KC Day lighters, a hydraulic scissor lift bed which got removed in 1988, and a Warn winch. TIME TO BUILD: 800 hours in a 2 month period. I met Gary and saw this truck in April 1988 in Wilson, NC. Then again in Raleigh, NC. in the Fall of 1988. |

I built this model for Gary Porter in May 1989. It was built using parts from a Hammer Head, Bigfoot, and Scavenger models. Cost to build; $27.oo Time to build; 32 hours Scale; 1/25th Features; Hand fabricated frame, front bumper, winch cover, brake sheilds, exhaust, and scissor lift bed. Completely hand painted. |
