GODZILLA

Hey Dennis,

This truck has a short but very interesting story. It was owned by an Illinois farmer by the name of Joe Ritter. But he did not build it. No sir, he had Mr. Bob Chandler and Midwest Four Wheel Drive build it. It was a 1974 Ford F250 with a 460. It had Rockwell 2 1/2ton toploader rears with front and rear steering. It had 48x25x20 Goodyear Terra tires on 25x20 aluminum rims supplied by Midwest.

here is the good part. Last year I called Mr. Chandler and was talking to him about various things. I brought up "Godzilla" to Bob and asked him what ever became of this truck. I asked if it was still around. Oh, its still around, in a big way. You see, Mr. Chandler informed me that years later he bought "Godzilla" off of Mr. Ritter and it became what now is known as Bigfoot 5 !!!! That just blew me away. Its funny how things in the monster truck world work.

Thanks Rich, very interesting and great detective work.

Hi Dennis, My name is Eli Mann , I'm from Maine . I Thought you might like some more Bigfoot info. This summer I worked a deal to obtain this truck . This is Bigfoot 4x4s old shop plow truck 1974 F-250 4x4. This truck body was once the Godzilla monster truck that was built by Bigfoot for the farmer Joe Ritter, as you know this truck body was also the first soully used for Bigfoot 5 , After 3-4 years this truck body was replaced with an 1987 Ford body, Bigfoot put the old body on to a old truck frame they had.

Eli tells me he wants to rebuild it like the original Bigfoot.
