Aussie Destroyer made it first appearance not too long after its owners, Motor Mayhem, completed their tour of Malaysia in 2000. Previously known as the Flying Falcon, the truck's main transformation consisted of a new paintjob and name, in an effort to liven up the image of the truck which had been touring for so long.

The main highlight of Aussie Destroyer's career would come in January 2002, where it joined seven other monster trucks, as part of Australia’s first and biggest monster truck racing championships; a show which until this day has not been equalled in terms of monster trucks attending.

Sometime later in 2002, Aussie Destroyer, along with Nite Thunder would be purchased by a Sydney based film producer, whose intentions were to ship the trucks to South Africa, where they would undergo a transformation for use in a movie. However, production of the movie was placed on hold, due to safety concerns about filming in Africa. As a result, Aussie Destroyer was was sold to a buyer in Namibia, who has repainted the truck and now runs it through various motorsport themed events.

Dear Dennis,

the Flying Falcon was built over here by ED MULLIGAN of Opposite Lock 4wd it used to have a 302 Windsor v8 with twin Sprintex superchargers a few years after Steve and Vic Butler bought the truck they swapped the motor for a more reliable non supercharged 351 Cleveland, she was then renamed and painted to Aussie Destroyer.

yours faithfully,

Stuart Forrest

Thanks for the picture and info, Mark Hurley and Richard Scott.
